Intense gym training were always regarded as because of their positive influence on the loss of excess weight, but , when general health comes in consideration walking everyday during a long period represents a much better solution.
When people with normal weight burnt a same amount of calories through short intensive training and long walking periods or sitting, the group which was walking improved the level of cholesterol. But, this is only a small part of that which we already know, said the main researcher Hans Spielberg, because, from other point of view, long time periods of sitting are unhealthy, no matter that you burn calories.
According to Spielberg: " The research has shown that, if you train everyday for half an hour, and the last of the day you spend sitting, you will have an unhealthy life". Although gym training helps you burn calories, intensive sitting triggers the negative health effects".
As long as sitting is considered, the researches hold that even getting up from chair represents signal for getting up of the body which in turn activates stronger it's system.
